These teaching videos help children and adults (as individuals, or in pairs, groups or classes) to better understand the sounds, spellings, syllables, consonant blends and rhymes in English words. For pupils, students, student teachers, teachers and parents these videos (downloaded or streamed) are a great way to learn or revise the building blocks of English.

The main aim of the 4 stories in the ‘THRASS 500 Echo Reading' series is to give children and adults confidence in reading the "THRASS 500" words. These words include the essential high frequency words, 7 days of the week, 12 months of the year, numbers from 1 to 20, common colour words and the 120 keywords. The 4 videos can be read in any order. The 500 words, along with their series frequency, are listed at the end of each video. At anytime, a child or adult can be assessed on their reading of the words - simply by using the Mute button! Pause the video to give an individual, group or class time to say the words on screen or to read the ‘Whole Story Version’ at the end. To develop storytelling skills, encourage experimentation with expression, intonation and different voices/accents.

You can send these videos as normal from Photos or Files. Recently, even large videos (well over the 16MB or 3-minute 'Maximum Size') can be sent in this manner. However, there may be a slight loss of quality because of compression.
