COPY
& PASTE YOUR SERIAL NUMBER
Before you download Version 5,
you need to locate the Email containing
your unique Serial Number.
You need to have it ready (to copy & paste) to
install Version 5.
UNINSTALL
THE PRESENT VERSION
Go to your applications menu or (usually) C drive with the folder name
Phoneme Machine and click the Uninstall button. This will uninstall all the
files and shortcuts for Version 4.

PC Network Version for Schools
If your school (university or institution) also needs a PC Network Version of
the software, download it from here
and then use the school’s unique Serial Number.
This
will download the 'suitcase' file CASE_5.exe to your computer (it
doesn't matter where, because this file can be deleted, once it has done the job
of installing the Phoneme Machine.
Run
the file and it will, once you have agreed to the terms and conditions and given
your unique Serial Number, automatically install the software onto your hard
drive (usually C drive with the folder name Phoneme Machine). Short cut icons,
to the main PM_5.exe file and the video and audio files, will also be
placed in your application menu and desktop (the ‘PM’ icon). This should
take only a minute or two. When you first launch the programme, please wait
patiently for one minute - while all the videos and mp3 files are loading.
Mac Version 5 is released on 30 July so please download
after 30 July.
DOWNLOAD LATEST UPDATE for Mac
To Download 44MB file:
Click for Mac computers
Download the 44MB 'suitcase' file (CASE_5.zip) by using Right
Click and Save Target As (usually about 1-40 mins, depending on the
speed of the computer and the connection).
Unzip the file and it will, create a folder called PM_5_MAC inside
this, there will be two files, an executable file called PM_5 and
a words folder.
Simply drag this folder PM_5_MAC to your Applications
Folder.
Once you have agreed to the terms and conditions and given your
unique Serial Number, you can click to open PM_5_MAC and then
click on the PM_5 executable file.
Enter your serial number in space provided and then click on the
grey button "Click to Enter Serial Number"
This should take less than a minute.
Please remember to wait patiently for ONE MINUTE, EVERY TIME you first launch
the PM programme.
DURING
THE INSTALLATION
Keep or Delete CASE_5?
Once you are happy that the PM Version 5 is working okay, you can delete the
'suitcase' file CASE_5.exe (or CASE_5.zip for Mac users) from your Desktop (or wherever it was downloaded to
on your computer), as it is no longer required, having successfully installed
the PM programme onto your computer.
On
the other hand, if you wish to install the software on any number of computers
at the same address, using your unique Serial Number, copy the file onto a CD or flash drive to transport it to
the other computers.
