Welcome to the fourth day
of THRASS GOES LIVE!
Follow our exciting
journey from MPUMALANGA to MILTON KEYNES by tuning in to our regular
videostreams from locations in South Africa and the UK. Watch children learn as
they use THRASS for the first time and see how impressed the Third Year
Foundation Phase student teachers are.
On Day 4 we visited Farm
School 2 Impala. Once again we see the children using their THRASS Picturecharts
– they are working on picture location and grapheme location. The children
really relate to the pictures and they are enjoying acting out some of the
words.
The student teachers are
very impressed by the speed at which the children learn to pronounce the words
and to identify the pictures from the words, and they admit that they
underestimated the children’s ability. They are also impressed by the
flexibility offered by THRASS and surprised at their own ability to achieve so
much after so little training.
