In the THRASS
(UK) territory, “THRASS Certified” teachers and assistants (and some parents,
especially home-schoolers) attend two-days of accredited training, focused on
the essential teaching guide TEACHING THRASS (T-50). The 100+ page, full-colour,
spiral bound A3 guide explains how to teach the ten-stage programme. The guide
also provides information about the outcomes, recommended resources, questions
for teaching, assessments and independent computer practices using THRASS-IT. On
courses, delegates are required to record successful outcomes on the THRASS
Profilecard.
Parents, and
teachers and assistants, may also become familiar with the features, phases and
stages of the programme by participating in a free email-course using the
www.thrass-tips.co.uk portal. This popular course, which consists of three
separate emails sent at weekly intervals, involves activities with webcards, a
profilecard and a calendar chart.
In addition,
parents may attend a four-hour
THRASS Accredited Certificate
Course for Parents, led by an approved
"THRASS Certified" teacher or assistant.
