Can charts be divided into smaller sections for younger children? |
Yes, using the Picture Sheets from the Resource
File, the Phoneme-Grapheme Cards and the Raps and Sequence Book (which is
brilliant for this - and related directly to the Profilecard). You can also use
the Magnetic Graphemes and selected parts of the chart using THRASS-IT. But, the
aim is to always remind the children of the whole-picture (where the 'smaller
section' fits into the whole scheme of things, where it is located on the map),
ideally at both the start and end of the lesson/session.
