THRASS IN AFRICA Kokrobite Fishing Village Ghana

Hilary, I’ve just seen the film and can’t begin to tell you how thrilled I am – it’s wonderful! A huge thank you to you and Mike for taking the time to come out to Kokrobite and spend time with the children. I’m going to show them the film this Saturday so I’ll let you know what they have to say afterwards. I’m sure you can imagine how excited they will all be to see themselves on the screen. The resources are being put to very good use and the word is spreading, we seem to add more children to the group every weekend. I think this might have something to do with the THRASS rap! It’s not unusual to walk through the village now and hear ‘bird, rabbit, bird, rabbit, cat’ from somewhere in the distance and the children love to practise it when we walk up to the land to check on the young trees that they’re growing.

The children wanted to send a message to you and Mike after seeing the film. The most amazing thing for me was that they sat quietly and watched the whole film, not just the bits that they were in, they were so interested to see another school and other children learning the same way as them!
