It was an eye-opener. It broadens my way of thinking, instead of tackling contents individually, you could as well combine everything and broaden the child’s mind. The course was very practical. The facilitators were like "born teachers". I would appreciate it if our government could consider implementing it. You managed to simplify it to our level. Thanks for uplifting the nation of blacks in South Africa.

Although it is not sometimes possible to grasp everything in days due to the enthusiasm with which you went about presenting everything to us, one was somehow encouraged to follow through each step. The cherry on top of it all was the knowledge of what you were doing. The key to any teaching is the confidence as well as knowledge. All the best guys, god bless you for your efforts and surely, you’ll be rewarded in due course.

Helps educator to be able to teach English in simple manner which will easily get learners involved. Actually it reveals many interesting ways that an educator can use to give a learner a firm foundation in English and the correct accent to improve their spelling. I think THRASS has reached its goal especially with an African learner. The world out there is competitive therefore THRASS helps an educator to do exactly that "PREPARE A CHILD FOR THE WORLD". I am very pleased with all the presentations. THRASS has unlocked an easy method of teaching English, specifically to all age groups. We waited for this for so long. I am glad that it also caters for me also. Above all it makes teaching easy and entertaining, moreover, it covers for other languages as well. To those who are involved in coming up with such a brilliant idea I would take this opportunity and say, "congratulations, you have rescued all of us and thankyou".

The course was very interesting. It helped me to understand English better not only speaking but even writing. For instance I did not know about phoneme and grapheme even how to differentiate between vowels and consonants, I only knew that vowels were a, e, i, o, u. With THRASS I think I’ll be able to change a lot of things not only in teaching but in my personal life. Thank you so much for everything that you taught me. THRASS – THRASS – THRASS – WAY TO GO.

The course was effective and fascinating because I have learnt a lot and still needs to practise a lot before implementing it to the children. This has been the most bonus package I have every experienced and received, i.e. for me the educator, for the school and for the South African child, to be a better citizen. I am thankful to God to introduce me to Mr. Darryl Geffen, Headteacher, and Masibambane.

Fantastic concept. Excellent approach for holistic teaching of phonics – no longer isolated sounds, rules and exceptions. Children have the big picture from the start. Presentation was superb. Very professional. Quality of materials is outstanding. Most helpful teacher materials and the software for classroom use/flashcards/charts – everything has been well thought out. I really appreciate the amount of work that has gone into producing this! Thank you for so generously donating the training.

THRASS is phenomenal. I am very impressed with such an enormous amount of learning material it comes with, the teaching methods and techniques are learner centred, the peer assessment and self assessment also help to encourage the sense of ownership and confidence in children. This is a real whole picture teaching approach. With the amount of skills I’ve acquired, I am confident I am taking the level of English teaching in our school to another level. THRASS is the boooom! I think the workshop was wonderful. It showed me words that I already knew in a good and better way. It makes English a wonderful language to teach and learn. Our learners are going to enjoy it. The presentation was wonderful and the material it was good.

The course was very fruitful. I had more understanding on phonex, letter and the method of teach which was very flexible. The whole THRASS course was fantastic. Thankyou to the facilitators who are doing such a great work. We hoping to implement it to our classes and produce powerful learners.

It was a masterpiece; it has joined the puzzle of words which for me was difficult to explain, i.e. phoneme/grapheme. English is our second language and at times it is difficult when it comes to vowels. Now I know I will definitely visit my consonant and vowel chart.

I think the course has contributed a lot into my teaching. I am teaching maths and science but it is vital to articulate words properly and for most subjects are taught in English, hence it was very important to attend this course. Presentation was superb. The time has been well spent.

I’ve really enjoyed the course. It was brilliant and very interesting. It will help me a lot at school and even at home with my kids. I’ve learned about the phoneme, which is the speech sound and grapheme, which is a spelling choice. The facilitators were fantastic.

It was good. I really enjoyed since I’m doing stories, spelling. At least I will know how to blend letters for the children when I’m teaching them and I have learnt a lot about picture location, reading. Because I will use with the first year children. By that time they don’t know how to read words. Phoneme has also helped me because months of the year I didn’t know how to call them phonetically so there was a problem with spelling words between I and their teachers, so it has really helped me.

It’s been a pleasure having you at our school. Your THRASS workshop will actually help us as teachers and will also help our learners; those whom God gave us to guide and teach. It was much fun whilst learning how to correctly pronounce the words and also the sound, learning about words like, e.g. graph (1) which we never knew before.
