Hilary has given us a fantastic day. Her enthusiasm for THRASS and developing children’s skills was inspiring. I particularly found the explanation of how the various resources can be used useful. 

Very good. Now I can use THRASS properly in my class. Lots of very good ideas. 

Very interesting and although I’ve been teaching THRASS for a year, many gaps have been filled in my THRASS knowledge. It was useful to ask questions in the afternoon. There was a lot of information to take in; but good to know where to find out more answers to questions. I am now going to digest today’s ‘stuff’. 

Very enjoyable. Things make sense now.

Lots of handy tips. Clarified some points for me. Very good. 

Very useful have learnt a lot to help with children. Brilliant.

Lots of very useful information which focussed on the areas we wanted to know about. Question and answer session very useful – tailored to our needs. Would have helped me to focus if we had done some more active/interactive tasks – although I appreciate we may have missed out on as much information. A lot of the phonic information re-covered what I learned at college. 

As a newcomer to THRASS I found the course easy to follow and provided plenty of food for thought, both for an assistant and parent. I found Hilary very enthusiastic and am looking forward to putting some of the ideas into practice. 

Had some idea of THRASS but day has helped to clarify the progression through the various stages. Will feel more confident using it in the classroom. Now feel it need not be prescriptive. 

I learnt a lot personally and it will affect my practise in the classroom. It was rather a lot in one day. 

Enjoyed this very much, given lots of ideas. 

Great, very helpful. Well presented. I could have stayed and listened longer.
