GUIDED TRAINING FOR TEACHERS, ASSISTANTS AND PARENTS

THRASS ONE-DAY FOUNDATION,
WOKINGHAM, OCT 29, 2007

Portable Document Format

Exciting! Inspirational! A great comfort to return to common sense teaching.

Very enlightening and empowering.

A really interesting course – very inspiring.

Brilliant. Look forward to putting it into practice using the course instructions having only done one day!

Very useful. I learnt quite a lot today. Some new things which I never noticed before.

What a powerful resource. Loads of information and how wonderful to have it confirmed that the early years are critical! I shall look forward to using it with my class. I love the continuity and possibility for progression beyond KS1.

My second time at being ‘THRASSED’ - still incredibly thought provoking and inspiring!

Interesting, inspiring.

Very informative and interesting, it all makes sense.

Very inspiring, enthusiasm is contagious, good luck with all the new developments.

Very good course, motivating and enthusiastic demonstration of an excellent programme. Good resources for us to use.

Very comprehensive. Lots of information but all very accessible to teachers and children. Very pleased that there is a comprehensive programme which doesn’t involve multiple levels of differentiated groups within the class!

A lot of information to take in.

Interesting day.

A lot to take on but plenty to work with. Practical advice/ideas, I personally struggled with ‘being taught’ at a foundation/KS1 level. I appreciate that it shows how to deliver the programme but, I do find it a little patronising/tricky to ‘get into’.

Very good – logical, practical and accessible. Presentation was excellent – kept participants actively engaged. Use of video also helped to reinforce active and powerful nature of THRASS teaching. Particularly liked the lip video recordings on the Phoneme Machine software!

Good, gave several ideas for helping children with various ideas for all ages.

Enjoyable and very fast pace. A lot of info to take in one day, two days would have been better.

Very interesting – a lot of information to digest but I’m very keen to learn more and give it a go.

We have had this training from you before, but it wasn’t continued even after an enthusiastic start.
[“I don’t understand this evaluation. To my knowledge, I have never been to this school before! Alan]

Very interesting, a lot to work with.

Very good, children can only benefit from this!

Very good, excellent resources. Great ideas with the different languages.

Very interesting! I have been on the course before but it was much better second time round!

Really informative and valuable training.

Good variety of teaching resources and ideas, involving Visual - Audio - Kinesthetic (VAK) skills. Importance of consistency throughout school conveyed.

Very interesting. Pace very fast, so many useful resources provided all very colourful. A scheme to be used from Foundation to Yr 6.

Logical approach. As a KS2 teacher I found it breathtakingly ‘quick’ not used to teaching phonics, but appreciate the common sense all embracing approach. The way forward for our school.

Good variety of teaching styles and interactive. Hit all the nails on the head by talking about government initiatives, which was really useful. An excellent day.

Informative, lots of info. Curious as to why THRASS doesn’t have Government backing?

Excellent makes complete sense!
