Intriguing and fantastic – thoroughly enjoyed
every minute of it – learnt so much.
Great integrated approach. Lovely whole language approach. Great new
perspective. A great course!
Mind-blowing – at last we can now do a proper job with the children. Thoroughly
enjoyed the course. Thank you so much.
Very informative. Well presented with great enthusiasm. I really enjoyed these
two days.
I found the course motivating and interesting. I came in feeling sceptical and
left feeling very excited. Alan Davies was a dynamic presenter and definitely
‘sold’ THRASS to me.
Interesting! I am especially looking forward to using the programme with
children who have learning difficulties.
Thank you, Alan. Wonderful exposure to the “Science” of language. Love the
multi-sensory/integrated. Some ideas so exciting, ready to challenge our old
“view”/perspective. Some overwhelming – can’t wait to do this in the school with
children where it can “come alive”. The children will give us the best
evaluation. We are ready to get “Thrassed”.
Wonderful! I found it really informative – although so much to remember! And
can’t wait to go and teach it next year. Your presentation was enthusiastic and
very easy to listen to. Thank you for giving up your time to come and teach us.
Thank you! At last – a solution to so many problems we encounter and we will be
able to extend “brighter” children. So exciting! Can’t wait to implement THRASS!
Brilliant! I wish my own children had been a product of THRASS. I can’t wait to
see THRASS being implemented next year. This is so exciting. Thank you for an
amazing two days.
A new look at the teaching of phonics. You have opened our eyes to what has been
missing from our Grade 0 programme. We often underestimate our children’s
capabilities. Thank you, Alan for a most interesting and informative two days!
Next year is going to be most exciting!
After hearing about THRASS from different people, I was a bit apprehensive! The
typical “rather the devil you know than the devil you don’t!” However, after
this two day course, I am very keen to start this with the children, as it is a
much more realistic way to learn spelling and reading. I agree – don’t say “Yes,
ea also makes ee but you’ll learn that later”. Rather know it from the start!
Thankyou and well done.
Jolly good! Very excited to try and implement it and help my child at home too.
It makes such sense! You produced or shall I say presented the course so
enthusiastically. Thankyou. You’re funny! Enjoyed your impersonations of the
children!
Thank you for a very interesting and inspiring course!
Fantastic course – I’m very excited to get going with THRASS next year and throw
out Letterland. Thank you for a most informative course.
Thank you, Alan, THRASS has been overwhelming and phenomenal. I will definitely
implement it to my best ability. I am really excited! I would have loved to be
part of such lessons and physically actually see THRASS in progress. What a
mind-blowing experience!
Your enthusiastic understanding of the very young child and professionalism
impressed me. I can’t wait to see THRASS implemented into our programme. With
regard to the video – I would like to see you ‘home in’ on the picturechart. As
you used it, it was difficult to see the pictures and words.
Excellent programme – looking forward to trying it out in the classroom. The
course was well presented and Alan did a great job enthusing the group about
THRASS.
Thank you for developing such a meaningful programme. I now understand what all
the excitement has been about.
I enjoyed the cross-curricular approach.
Felt like it was brain overload in the beginning, but it all fell into place by
the end. Now I can’t wait to start teaching it.
Brilliant! THRASS just makes sense! Thank you for an interesting, very
informative and enjoyable course. So grateful that I was able to attend. I hope
KZN Educational Department will become “Thrassed”.
Excellent! It has turned traditional teaching upside down and back to front! How
refreshing! I walk away from this experience and believe that I cannot teach as
I have been before – it has empowered me and I hope to share this with many
children. I would appreciate frequent visits by Alan (into the classroom) to
assist with my teaching!
