I really enjoyed it. I was reluctant at first because I thought they would be too childish for my children but your workshop made me realise that the Sing-a-long is so much more than just a song. 

Side splitting fun! Creating good times while learning! 

THRASS is wonderful way of learning, it is enthusiasm and learning at the same time. I wish this day will come time and again. 

A magical experience – the music made you want to get up and dance. This workshop gave us a practical side to THRASS and fun and creative ways to get children involved in their learning. 

Practical, fun and motivating! 

I was a bit uncertain initially, but I really enjoyed it. We had fun, as well as learning valuable tools for the classroom. The singing and dancing was great, and Janine was full of energy and enthusiastic, which motivated us. 

It was good to get to sing and move along with THRASS! 

I really enjoyed the workshop and had loads of fun! The songs are catchy and I feel will help with more than just THRASS e.g. directionality, mid line crossings etc. 

An interesting way of showing teachers how to use music to teach children how to read, spell words! 

Was great to see how music can be brought into learning in the classroom. It adds to the variety in learning methods with a lot of fun and movement. Gets learners talking and laughing. 

Wonderful Workshop! Lots of fun. 

The workshop is so good and I enjoyed it very much. I wish I can get another chance to learn again the activities, they are good to be used in the classroom. 

This was a good experience for me, because I was not sure if I was going to be able to use these songs but now I can do my things. Sing-a-long is a good thing for children. 

I came in with a negative attitude but I ended up really enjoying it. It was fun, even though sometimes embarrassing. I especially liked what we did with the panda song and the banana one! 

Exciting and fun and I felt like a kid again. “You are getting old because you have stopped playing.” 

What a superb day! Thank you Janine. We (University of Fort Hare) have a gap in our B Ed degree – No music/dance/movement component – only Drama and Arts and Culture. This excellent workshop certainly filled that gap as well as adding meat and muscle to the THRASS skeleton.

Before the start of the day I was so frustrated, feeling bored about this SING-A-LONG. When the program started however I started to feel enjoyment and have learned a lot on how I would implement this with my learners. THANX a lot! 

This is a wonderful day. I have never had fun like today. I think it is going to be more fun to do these activities with children. They will really enjoy the music and the time I spend with them without let them writing. You done so well. 

I am so blessed today, with THRASS MOVE-A-LONG. I spoke with my children that used to be in my Sunday school that they need to copy some music with actions as we used to do. So this is an answer to our wish. I am going to use these songs but I also know that these children are also going to spread the songs in their different schools. The DVD will be of help to remind me of the actions. 

Nice. Fun and meaningful. 

It was nice and at least now I can sing THRASS songs with my children. I didn’t know in the beginning that there will be too much fun to relax our mind just before exam time. 

When I heard about the Sing-a-long workshop I wasn’t really all that interested but you changed my mind about both the usefulness of the THRASS Sing-a-long and one workshop. You got me doing moves which I would never normally do. But the important thing about the workshop is that I could see it working in a classroom.

I enjoyed every minute of the workshop, I hope to use them (songs) in my classroom. 

I learnt many things on THRASS. I wish I can learn again. It is a good thing. 

It was good. I learnt the songs and I think I can use them in my class. But thing is, I am not good with music, dancing and stuff. But I am sure I will try. 

Enjoyed the workshop but felt length of breaks were not enough. 

I am feeling more comfortable about using and applying each song to further educate our learners. 

It was a nice exercise. It will be really good for the learners. I’ve enjoyed myself.
