Excellent – can’t wait to put it into practice and build on what we already do in school.

A lively and very informative course. Ideas were clearly explained and demonstrated. There were lots of opportunities to join in. It was very enjoyable and provided lots of food for thought.

Really enjoyed the course. Particularly useful as we are looking to implement phonics sessions in a different way – hopefully throughout the school. Will definitely go back and ‘dabble’ initially, but will also feedback to a staff meeting. We are definitely keen to take THRASS on board and would be interested in the Day 2 course.

Great course which has brought my limited THRASS knowledge together and made me feel much more confident to use it in my classroom. Energetic, motivating speaker!

I found the course informative and thought provoking. Though it was pretty pacy and rich in content I found that it was easy to keep up with Alan.

Great to use such a variety of resources. Rather a fast pace – lots and lots of information covered rapidly. Lots of pages to quickly refer to became a little overwhelming at times! Good ideas to embed throughout junior school: spelling log, peer support using Y6 and Y3, charts used daily for everyone.

This was a very valuable course. It made a lot of sense and provided a very practical model for teaching THRASS. It has certainly given me a lot of fresh ideas and confidence for using THRASS with my class. The green book (scheme of work) appears especially useful for helping to organise lessons/activities.

A lot of thought and work gone into this scheme and well tested. Have been struggling with spelling and teaching spelling so good to have a scheme to rely on. Pace too fast for me as really struggle with spelling as dyslexic! Will work on the internet. Keep up the good work.
