Very intense and well presented with excellent use of materials. An enjoyable way to learn, and very convincing. 

Really enjoyable. THRASS is a really good idea. I would be happy to teach THRASS to children. 

Thought-provoking, clear rationale presented. Felt able to question/ask etc. Enjoyable. Very positive experience – inspirational.

This second experience of THRASS has been so much more valuable in that materials have been developed for Early Years and application explained. I can see how we could deliver to three and four year olds in a multi-sensory way in Nursery. 

Can’t wait to start putting it into practise in my classroom. It makes sense. Great delivery. Came in on my days off and so glad I did. 

Straightforward and well structured to follow a really complex and totally different method to what we have been following. Logical and clear progression. Lively and humorous teaching – thank you for making it so much fun! A wonderful model to follow! 

Excellent programme – very well presented. Has made me re-think my approach to literacy teaching. Also, to re-evaluate my advice/individual programme/group intervention planning. 

Fantastic. This really fills in lots of gaps. Great presentation. I cannot wait to start using it. Wish my child had had access to it. 

It would be helpful to know the sequence of teaching quite early on so that I have all the good ideas and information to pin on something. Other than that, very inspiring. 

I have learned a great deal and will be able to use it both in working directly with Traveller pupils and in working with schools where THRASS is in use. An enormous amount of material made digestible by an entertaining and enthusing presentation. 

It all makes sense to me. Liked all the resources – especially tracing over the letters. I think that this system should really improve letter formation. 

Really enjoyed the course. Lots of information and ideas to think about. I think it would be fun to teach this especially if we are able to get all the resources! Am looking forward to looking at the website and trying out the Phoneme Machine! 

Extremely enjoyable, interactive and fun. Loved the VAK elements, especially the links with music. This could be a good way forward as a whole school and will provide continuity as they progress.

Captivating, made so much sense, emphasised my need to enhance own learning about phonics. Am passing on knowledge to my school as THRASS would be of great benefit. Loved video clips from South Africa – must be magical to work with those children. Excellent presentation.

Brilliant. It was great to freshen up my knowledge of the English sound/spelling system and now I have got an idea of how to use it to help children read and spell. It’s given me the confidence to get rid of a lot of clutter that I have felt shouldn’t be there in the first place.
