An information packed course. I have gained a much better insight into phonics and am looking forward to trying things out with my class. I wish all my colleagues could have taken part too.

Very good! Remember doing graphemes at college but learnt more today than in the 4 years!

I found the course very interesting and Hilary was easy to listen to and very interesting. She had a real buzz for the course content and this came through and made the time pass quickly. There was a range of ideas that could be used from Reception to Year 6, which was fantastic. Thankyou.

I think this will be very useful for children struggling to read and spell in my class. Look forward to seeing the 15 minute lesson plans. Will find them useful. What about coming up with spelling lists.

Good resources, demonstrated enthusiastically! I love the charts showing range of spelling choices for each phoneme – so helpful. Would have been useful to mention how NLS links with THRASS.

I really appreciated this course and have found it very helpful in connecting the dots! I’ve been using THRASS without the training for three years (except for a day by Alan aimed at previously trained staff mostly). This put so much into context and has given me a much clearer vision. Thankyou.

Thankyou for an extremely interesting day. It was good to see an ‘overall picture’ of phonemes and graphemes and made a lot of sense to teach sounds and letter names at the same time! It would be useful to know where progression in phonics recommended for use in schools fits in.
