An informative course that provided a clear structure to work through the THRASS programme. Background information, practical examples of activities to run with the children and assessment processes made the course valuable and inspired implementation.

Clear and well organised. Taken through each stage step by step. An enjoyable and useful two days.

The course made it clearer for me to understand the English Language and how it works. This knowledge will help me give children better support in the future.

A excellent course, that will be used with our pupils. I feel it will help their English skills considerably. We will incorporate it in our schemes of work.

Really, clear instructions and tuition of THRASS. Days went very quickly. Have THRASS at school but now I can use it. I feel much more secure in my phonic knowledge.

Super course, rather a long way to travel though.

Thoroughly good two days – succinctly explained reasoning behind THRASS and how to use it as a tool in school – especially thankful for deciphering “synthetic phonics”. I can now return and use the resources correctly in school!

A very detailed and beneficial course. Scheme was explained very well and relevant charts, posters, resources provided to highlight key teaching activities. Hilary was well educated in THRASS and explained everything clearly, contributing personal stories and anecdotes which provided light relief throughout the 2 days.

Excellent! Truly an inclusive programme. Excellent! delivery. Multi sensory educational programme which will benefit all levels of ability, from our less able student to our more confident able student, giving the teachers and assistants opportunity to extend exercises. Stretching our gifted and talented pupils knowledge which has been imparted has benefited me personally! Pace, enthusiasm clearly is of great benefit. Most enjoyable!

Really enjoyed the course, very inspiring – especially as I am currently going into a secondary school as a primary teacher – working with transition – children who need primary approach in order to move forward. Hilary was full of humour – which allowed the two days to be a real – quality and lasting learning experience.

Very useful but some information was very repetitive. May be a suggestion course for beginners and people using THRASS as I am already using THRASS in the school and have since Jan 07.
