GUIDED TRAINING FOR TEACHERS, ASSISTANTS AND PARENTS

THRASS ONE-DAY FOUNDATION,
BEDFORDSHIRE, JUNE 30, 2007

Portable Document Format

A very informative and excellent detailed presentation. Good advice and entertaining too!

Very informative. Would like to see same scheme for all schools over whole country. So we are all singing from the same hymn sheet.

Fast paced. Lively. Visual. Entertaining. Informative. Workable. Has encouraged me to get back to the classroom and put ideas into action.

Very enjoyable, informative, helpful, useful practical demonstrations. Clear answers and questions, great explanations.

Excellent. Easy to understand. I need practice sessions/actual teaching experience of THRASS.

Very informative and useful to implement in classroom practice.

Excellent resources and explanations given. I now feel much more confidant with how to teach reading, handwriting and spelling using THRASS and am already eager to try out new ideas with my children. It has cleared up my misconceptions as well as how I can correct children’s misconceptions. I have found it excellent for meeting VAK learning styles.

Very energetic and inspiring. Brought website to life.

Informative and inspiring. Could see ways to improve our current practise. Lots of ideas to use. It all made sense – ‘for a change’!

Very informative, inspirational. Presenter very easy to listen to!

Good delivery! Kept us awake and interested. Thought provoking. The jury is still out in using letter names for spelling – but I’m mulling it over. Very impressed with the computer software.

Enjoyed the course. It was well presented and very interesting. I have used the CD and chart in class already, but now know how the whole programme fits together.

I thought that today’s session was excellent. I only had a rough understanding of THRASS and I now feel more confidant. It’s good to have an enthusiastic lecturer.

Feel more confidant about basic THRASS. Course enjoyable, well presented.

Informative. Very fast pace – lots to take in.

Intense, informative.

Informative, lots to take in.

It has been my second one-day introduction to THRASS. This time I was able to enjoy and refresh.

Very interesting, refreshing new look at reading and spelling skills.

Will use the ‘trace over’ of problem of letters into spelling logs with my KS2 class.

Interesting, lively presentation. Lots of ideas of things to do with the children. Really good resources. Will take a while to get used to Scheme of Work book.

Very enjoyable – excellent resources – good feedback on how the scheme is working. Very clear explanation and I feel I now understand THRASS much better.

Very enjoyable. I have learnt loads.

Very interesting, revision of thinking about phonic teaching and learning. Good way of achieving coherent approach to phonic teaching across age and ability range.

Informative – linked closely with sounds-write background. Chart – fantastic. Phoneme Machine especially lips – wonderful.

Excellent.

Thank you. Plenty of food for thought to be used in the class.

Excellent presentation, very informative. Hope we use it in school soon. Liked the Phoneme Machine.
