A total eye-opener! What a wonderful way to teach literacy! Laola is an inspiration. I thoroughly enjoyed the course and look forward to using it.

Fantastic! Well presented. Can’t wait to get started. Thanks so much.

Awesome! What is so exciting is that all learners, including LD’s - hard of hearing and slow learners can learn using THRASS. Laola excels as a facilitator and organiser of THRASS and accompanied our two day course with ease, great competence and a sense of humour.

I thoroughly enjoyed the course and can see the value that this method of teaching can have in the classroom, particularly for children who are battling to make sense of the Letterland programme. Thank you Laola, for bringing this method to life!

A very exciting and beneficial course. I am very willing to try new ideas and am looking forward to seeing the practical application in the classroom and most importantly to see how the children progress.

Thrass has been an eye opener in so many aspects! Laola was a huge inspiration to me. This workshop made me realise not only the need in South Africa but the input/difference I can and will make.

What a fabulous way of teaching children to read! Easy to follow and fun to teach. The course was presented so well and gave a very comprehensive overview of the material. Thanks for the experience.

An informative course. I particularly liked the analysis of sounds on the charts. I am interested in the THRASS scheme of work to help us link this information to the curriculum.

An excellent presentation. The course was very comprehensive and teacher friendly. Laola was an excellent facilitator. Thank you so much for a worthwhile course.

A very interesting experience. I have the charts in my Media Centre and have never understood what they meant! The presentation has opened my eyes. Laola took us enthusiastically and energetically through the many layers of the course. I felt it was an enormous amount of information to digest and I am very glad to have done the course.

A very informative course. I learnt new ways of approaching and teaching language in a classroom.

A good course, well worth attending. We have implemented THRASS in our Grade 0’s this year and it was great being able to see where we go after this year and to have the formal training needed as we were working with only one person having been on the course. Thank you.

I thoroughly enjoyed the course. It was presented extremely well. Laola was friendly and thorough. Thank you for two most enjoyable days.

Programme seems fantastic, albeit a little confusing at present. Am looking forward to implementing it further in the classroom.

Still need to see whether it’s working or not …. Can see lots of potential.

Very innovative and an excellent opportunity for a paradigm shift.

Fantastic course! It was very structured and made a lot of sense. Laola was a fantastic presenter with a lot of personal experience and knowledge.

Thank you for a wonderful workshop! THRASS is a great concept and will help many children. Laola is a wonderful woman and is very positive about THRASS.

Thank you for the course. I hope I can now take it to the classroom to enable the children to use it and spell more easily. May it go from strength to strength.

The course was excellent. Extremely motivating and enriching. Laola presented the course with interest and enthusiasm.

Very thoroughly explained. A fun and exciting phonics programme to implement both in therapy sessions and in the classroom!

An excellent course. Laola presented the course exceptionally well. Thanks so much!

A superior and well informed course. Laola – a confident and an excellent presentation. Thank you. You have opened a new door!

Very, very interesting course. I wish to go further with this. I gained so much knowledge.

First day beneficial for speech therapists as a general introduction. Second one slightly repetitive of work covered in university course. However, THRASS course has been extremely beneficial, as many of the schools we give therapy at use THRASS. Perhaps consider revised course for SLTS?

THRASS has been implemented in several schools where I work as a speech therapist. I did the course to be able to facilitate carry-over of skills. This particular course is structured for teachers and how to use THRASS in a classroom situation. A separate course for therapists would be beneficial as less repetition and less detail re: each stage would be necessary. Perhaps you should consider conducting therapist-oriented courses?

Thank you for a wonderful course, Laola. Well explained and interesting! You have given me food for thought.

The course was most interesting and informative. I certainly learnt a lot and look forward to implementing the programme.

Thank you, Laola, for an amazingly inspiring course. I look forward to teaching my children this very exciting and comprehensive way of learning to read, write and spell. Thanks for your enthusiasm, ideas and tremendous positive outlook! Hopefully, we will see you soon at our school to train our other teachers.

This has been a wonderful experience! It has broadened my mind and opened my eyes. Laola was great and a huge inspiration in every way! I hope the whole of Africa will be using THRASS as soon as possible!
