THRASS FOLLOW-UP COURSE,
WESTERN CAPE, SA, JAN 31, 2009

Portable Document Format

Inspirational. THRASS was an “ah ha” moment for me when I did the two day course! No other phonics programme had EVER made sense and I’ve been teaching here and in the U.K. for 23 years!

Stunning course – very helpful. I had been feeling a bit lost but have had my questions and concerns well answered – so thank you very much.

Thank you – learnt a lot – everything seemed to come together.

Thank you for a very informative talk and discussion about what THRASS has to offer. I learnt a lot especially practical examples. Makes a lot of sense of the theory. Books and resources look easy to use and fun for all learners. Thanks again Hilary.

Thank you so much. I feel renewed enthusiasm for teaching THRASS!

Very inspirational. Good to refresh the basics. I also got some important new ideas such as “hotwords” and focus boxes and how to link spelling lists etc. to the picturecharts.

Very interesting. It was a lot to absorb in one day, but I’ve learnt a lot. I will apply this in the classroom. Thank you so much for giving me so many ideas on how to use the THRASS programme.

Feel more confident to teach the THRASS method. Thoroughly enjoyed a very well presented course.

This was fantastic! I have seen little bits before but this has given me a very clear picture of what it is all about. It now makes so much sense and wish my son’s school followed this programme.

A great way to refresh and consolidate the first course. Also new material is great. The use of THRASS will be broader for me, now.
