GUIDED TRAINING FOR TEACHERS, ASSISTANTS AND PARENTS

THRASS SYNTHETIC PHONICS WORKSHOP,
IBADAN, NIGERIA, JAN 12-13, 2009

Portable Document Format

Very interesting and informative. It is truly English phonics made easy and enjoyable. It is great.

Very informative and very interesting. If used in Nigeria, students learning English would find it easy; and written and spoken English in the country would greatly improve. The THRASS team have done a good job and I believe that by the time they come back to Nigeria there be great results.

Very interesting and stimulating. Alan Davies was great and the programme worthwhile. It will expose Nigerian children to a better way of reading with fun – and turn them into effective and voluntary readers.

An eye opener. It makes the teaching and learning of the English language an easy task.

A revolutionary approach to the spelling of English words. Just the guide to tackle the teaching of English as a second language. Glad I was invited!

Educative. It will enhance the knowledge of the pupils. It enhances teaching and learning and arouses the interest of the pupils to enable them to attend school and gain more knowledge.

I was highly impressed. The workshop is educative. By using this method the standard of the pupils in my school will be improved both in oral and written English. We look forward to more THRASS!

Easy to understand. The presentation was excellent and professional. The instructor was lively and had a good grasp of the course content. The delivery was fun and easy to follow. I give the course a pass mark and the instructor applause for a job well done.

I was highly impressed by the performances of the resource person. The method and the way the resource person used the materials to teach us how to train the pupils was good.

Very interesting. It is a quick method. Exploring the music that is attached to every sound makes it wonderful. Mr Alan Davies is super and also Mr Mike. We had a brilliant experience.

I really enjoyed this. I wish the government should assist in implementing the programme in public primary schools in Oyo State and Nigeria, so our children learn the English language fluently.

We really enjoyed the programme. It was very interesting. We will take good care of the materials.

The course and lecturer is OK. The knowledge is shared by the Oyo State Chairman and SUBEB officers. The participants gained and achieved. The lecturer was very interesting.

Wonderful and interesting. This will really bring a great transformation to our learning scheme. We feel like you should have a week or more with us. God bless you more.

I urge the State Government to support the organisers and adopt THRASS for future generations in the education sector. I advise the Government to let this programme go across the states.

Really enjoyable. Very interesting and I achieved many things to teach the pupils and to use for myself for my children and for the people around me. I praise Mr Alan Davies because he is a good teacher.

Really enjoyable. I gain a lot out of it. It was interesting and I achieved many things.

Educative and interesting! The missing link in the teaching and learning of English in Nigeria. It has been a WOW experience for us all. I look forward for more of it! Thumbs up for Mr Alan Davies and his team.

Very interesting. This will enhance the knowledge of the pupils if taken up by the Oyo State.

Very interesting. I would like THRASS to spread all over the other schools that have not had the opportunity to have the privilege. I am appealing to our government to please hold hands with the organisers so that many more children will have the opportunity of benefiting from the programme.
