Really enjoyable. Very informative and applicable to any school situation and learners of all ages. A course that must be implemented at every school! The presentation was very good and professional.

I felt that the course was extremely beneficial and educational. I will certainly ensure that the rest of our staff attends the course in the near future. Laola’s personality and energy was most enjoyable and I felt that she was an excellent lecturer with very affective teaching methods. Thank so much!

Awesome! I think I’ll get my mind around it as I start using it in class!

A most informative course. Although my mind is totally boggled right now, I am looking forward to getting stuck in and having fun with my class!

Absolutely fantastic! Really enjoyed it! Has really given me the energy to teach with lots of enthusiasm in the year ahead! Thank you so very much.

I enjoyed learning about a brand new approach to learning how to read and write in English. The teaching aids are really great. The learners will enjoy using them hands on and they will be able to progress at their own pace. Thank you for introducing this course in such a stimulating manner! I will use your methods as best I can.

Well presented, maybe day 1 should be an overall course and then day 2 should be focus on the grade you teach. But it was valuable to me as a teacher.

Good presentation. A bit over whelming, but I am positive that with practice everything will become clearer in the future. Looking forward to a new experience!

Very interesting! Well presented! I thoroughly enjoyed it. It was worth doing, and I definitely know that my learners will enjoy it. I do not believe that I will have one learner who will battle with reading in my class. I enjoyed the computer programme and really wish to have such gadgets in my classroom to make learning and teaching fascinating to both learners and the educator.

The course was most valuable. I believe in the venture for Adults that I want to pursue, I will probably require some support to customise the application for the work environment and possibly looking at support in pronunciation / analysis. Keep up the good work!

I gained a comprehensive course and learnt a lot!

I have got a better understanding of THRASS and I will be able to help my kids.

The course was very informative and beneficial to me.

I enjoyed the course, learned how to teach THRASS from stage 1 -10, grapheme, graph, digraph, trigraph and catch-all and I never knew that there are more than 5 vowels in English.

Quite thought provoking and very intensive course! Laola was patient with us and very convincing about how much we need this programme in our schools. Our staff was positive about this and want to start on Monday!

A very interesting course! Well presented. Laola is well informed and experienced. To implement this successfully in a school, all staff must buy in the idea to make it successful. I feel this can address many needs we have in education these days.

The course was very well presented. I liked all the resources and examples. I would like a more in-depth overview as an introduction, so that you know where (or what) you working towards. As you go along, global, then narrow down to details!

I think that THRASS is the best way of teaching and learning how to speak the English Language. And I feel that this must be the best educational product by far!

Enjoyed the course very much!

I feel challenged and exited, I think that spelling and reading in South-Africa needed a face lift. The resources are user friendly, practical and well made. The stages follow a logical progression. The thinking and problem solving skills that will be taught will ensure that spelling takes on a new role in the classroom, not just copying of words without meaning but a learning experience! Laola thanks for sharing your incredible knowledge and experience! A worth while and interesting two days.

I did THRASS two years ago, and have found it easier this time around. Often it is a lot of information to take in over a two day period. The first time I was a student, and found it difficult to picture in a school classroom. I am now an educator and it is much easier to implement and see how it works with learners in a classroom. I really enjoyed the new Raps that have been made as well as the spelling of words, and how it can be linked with other words.

This is the second course I have attended. Well presented. Keen to implement this year.

I have learnt lots. Do feel that the duration of this course was short, especially since we have to go back and implement ASAP. Do feel motivated and eager to learn more and equip myself fully with THRASS in order to teach children. Great that THRASS comes complete with its teaching aids.

Really enjoyable. It was an enriching experience. However I do feel that more time would have been invaluable because I still feel a bit overwhelmed and need to feel more confident. Practise will make an educator more perfect, so we will forge on and be enthusiastic. Thanks for a good experience!

Far too much information to absorb in too short a time - should be spread over a few more days and maybe shorter sessions. A need to cover relative information relating to individual in greater depth and at their own pace! Too many experienced ‘THRASS’ teachers on this course! Very advanced!

Laola has been a vibrant and effective presenter whose enthusiasm and belief in THRASS was evident throughout the course. Material is aesthetically pleasing, attractive and user friendly. Course content is interesting and does present another and possibly more effective method of teaching handwriting, reading and spelling skills. I would however like to see analysis of the effectiveness of this programme. It is after-all a fairly new programme.

Very informative, however I feel some things were discussed that weren’t relevant to the course (day 1 was very drawn out). Looking forward to trying THRASS with my class.

Initially, I found my mind wandering often. However! On the second day when the electricity allowed us to view the video and PowerPoint presentation! I enjoyed the course a lot more (I must be a visual learner) I understood more about the material when I could see Alan Davies demonstrating a lesson on the video. I am now very excited about implementing THRASS in my own classroom.

Great program! I look forward to implementing it. I suggest that more thorough listening skills be practised while dealing with delegate’s queries. On more than a few occasions, the presenter interrupted the delegate while they were posing their question, and because she did not hear the question properly she did not answer the question, and I found this very frustrating. She sometimes missed the point of the query. Otherwise, a wonderful journey with THRASS lies ahead for my class.

Very interesting and very well presented. The information was thoroughly explained using various examples that were applicable to the classroom. Questions were well answered. THRASS is applicable to everyday life.

Absolutely informative! I am now empowered to assist my child in his everyday learning. Laola has been a fantastic tutor, and would recommend her to anyone interested in THRASS.

A wonderful learning experience! Laola is a very good facilitator. Thank you for making the two days so interesting and being so vibrant and passionate about the THRASS program.
