Invaluable but more important for me was the approach to teaching been displayed by Laola. I have learnt a tremendous amount. It has been a privilege and I have left the course truly inspired.

This was an excellent course, never knew how to teach phonics before.

What a wonderful course. As a recently qualified teacher, I feel that the knowledge I have gained will prove to be extremely beneficial. Thank you Laola for such an extremely motivating and inspirational introduction to THRASS.

Excellent thorough presentation. Excellent course content. Very inspirational.

Very enlightening – interesting – I am so proud to have had the opportunity to have done this course as it has really broadened my mind and horizon. Thank you so much Laola and I certainly would like this implemented in our schools.

Very informative. Great to see how it works in the classroom. Practical and helpful.

I thoroughly enjoyed the presentation which was clear and interesting. Visual aids were excellent. Laola was excellent at presenting.

It’s been so interesting and I’m looking forward to using it. Laola you were superb, exciting and your passion for THRASS is catchy!

Loved it! Thanks very much!

So thoroughly glad I came, have learnt so much. We are never too old to learn.

Well prepared and articulated. I am glad I attended. I feel confident to work with my child who is learning THRASS for the first time this year.

Very dynamic and energetic.

Very interactive and informative. Well presented and relevant examples. I have learnt a lot and am looking forward to getting more familiar with THRASS and using it to the benefit of my students. Thank you for your passion and great advice.

Really enlightening to find out what is going on in the foundation phase in my own school. Two days well spent.

Very informative. Exciting tool for literacy teaching.

I came from Swaziland and I learnt a lot, it has taught me that children learn a lot in any early age.

I enjoyed this course. It was new to me. I am a SP educator. Well organised and very interesting.

Can’t wait to start using THRASS. I have learnt a lot about the spelling, phonemes and graphemes of my own language. The catch-alls are fun to find. Interesting two days.

Excellent!

Very interesting and informative! It’s amazing to see THRASS in action. I am excited for my class.

Very enlightened and will try my best to empower our learners and staff. Laola you were excellent.

Informative and interactive. Very knowledgeable lady. Great two day workshop.

Very helpful.

Very nice. Would have liked it to be a bit longer just to be 100% sure. But very good.

I understand the English language better after sitting in class for two days.

Excellent. This has given me a good grounding. Your enthusiasm is inspiring.

Very informative. I certainly learnt a lot.

I learnt a lot. Will put this to great use.

I am now more confident to teach THRASS. You have given us good guidelines and answered questions I didn’t know I had. Your passion for your subject definitely comes through.

Very useful and informative. Laola was wonderful about providing hints and tips for special education needs children - very beneficial in the work I do.

Very stimulating and informative. I am amazed at how much can be achieved by learners through this programme. I am eager to implement the programme, however will need to find a network school to help me start.

Very interesting learning about a new approach. Well presented. Left feeling unable to implement THRASS in my classroom in a practical way.

A different way of approaching the teaching of reading and spelling. Interesting, but also feel it is quite confusing in areas. Would maybe be more practical doing it in groups e.g. How to implement THRASS Gr.1 or Gr.2 and go through the various levels.

I am concerned that at Gr 7, children will get very confused (as there are far too many spelling options). Thought the course was well run.

Worry that without all the resources it can’t be fully successful? It obviously needs to be implemented from the very bottom and upwards, you cannot simply start from intermediate phase? Confusing for learners?

Thoroughly enjoyed the presentation! Dynamic and interesting presenter and very ‘classroom friendly’ ideas. Thank you for making THRASS so much easier to understand and you’ve inspired me to try out lots of things.

Excitingly enlightening!

Informative, interesting and inspirational.

Very informative. It makes a lot of sense. Thank you Laola, keep up the great work!

Wonderful course! Very interesting! It was amazing learning new ideas. Thank you for the amazing course. All the Best! Keep up the wonderful work!

What an interesting two days I’ve had! I have learnt so much. Thank you for making the sessions exciting. I can see that you certainly love and enjoy what you do. Having some background knowledge about THRASS already, you have clarified and taught me so much more.

Very enlightened and will try my best to empower our learners and staff. Laola you were excellent.

I now finally feel as though the penny has dropped. I really feel energised and inspired.
