A delightful and very interesting workshop. An exciting and innovative way to

as with my own children. The Department of Education in SA should adopt THRASS
and make it part of the South African curriculum.

Very interesting and stimulating. THRASS is an excellent concept and will have
many benefits. Very clever and well thought out, as well as being able to slot
in with existing programmes and being versatile for special needs, ESL and deaf

professional. Knows her subject backwards. I like the detailed thought which has
gone into the creation of THRASS, how everything dovetails together. I like the
idea of not talking down to the pupils – i.e. using the correct vocab e.g.
graphemes and phonemes. I think the detailed attention to sounds will benefit
the learner in all language applications, including learning a second language.

A great, fun way to teach second language children to become literate. A fun and
interesting presentation.

This is a really valuable course that could remedy, to a great extent, the
literacy problems in the foundation phase of schools where English is L2 or a
foreign language. I enjoyed the training and the approach from the trainer. I
will promote THRASS where I can. Also, the methodology will be extremely
valuable for Talk English where it should bridge the gap between spoken English
(our focus) and the written form.
