Revolutionary! After 30 years of teaching phonics the same way. A really great concept and method of teaching. Will definitely be implementing it in my class.

Excellent. Laola was dynamic and vibrant. A very useful tool. Eager to use at school.

The course was remarkable, informative and professional. It was well organised. It must be recommended for all educators across the spectrum to attend it.

An outstanding presentation. You have made a difference by spicing up my teaching career. This paradigm shift was long overdue. You have been the answer!

A paradigm shift! A different way of looking at things that makes a lot of sense. Beautiful resources. (Wish we all had interactive boards!)

Laola was fantastic. I have learnt quite a bit. Look forward to teaching my learners and my young son what I have learnt. THRASS has definitely got me thinking.

A delightful and very interesting workshop. An exciting and innovative way to teach literacy. I am looking forward to implementing this in my class, as well as with my own children. The Department of Education in SA should adopt THRASS and make it part of the South African curriculum.

So exciting and motivational! Makes me want to teach lots of children in remote places – but also to help children who have no one or no knowledge! I have been waiting to learn all about this!

Very interesting and stimulating. THRASS is an excellent concept and will have many benefits. Very clever and well thought out, as well as being able to slot in with existing programmes and being versatile for special needs, ESL and deaf children. Presentation was excellent – fun and entertaining.

Such an interesting, novel new way to learn how to sound, recognise and remember words. It is visual, colourful and appealing. The songs are catchy and fun. A fantastic presentation!

An excellent, well run course. I am very excited to get to school and try this new method of teaching. I think it could uplift literacy in our country.

Most dynamic and useful. Well presented. Can’t go wrong! Easy to grasp and work with. Made a great difference to me as an educator and I’m sure my class will enjoy it. Incorporates lots of skills, e.g. visual memory, sequencing etc – skills that are needed to be practiced and improved.

Excellent! The presenter was very, very good. Very vibrant. A very good workshop.

An interesting, enlightening experience. I arrived feeling sceptical and left feeling informed and enlightened, but exhausted!

Well presented. Lots to think about and to learn.

Insightful and very interesting. It was very well presented and well run.

An excellent presentation by Laola! A good programme which can be well integrated across the learning areas. Knowledge learnt will be useful to teach second language learners.

Very informative, well run course. I would highly recommend it.

An interesting course with logical, progressive conceptualisation. It might, however, involve a revolution in pronunciation, if used in our rainbow nation!

Great tool to teach literacy.

A very interesting and informative course. Eager to embark on it and hope to take our learners to a higher level of understanding.

Laola knows what she is talking about! Got me thinking...

Very interesting and different approach. I will definitely be trying to implement this method.

A very informative and interesting course. Learnt very interesting and helpful ways and means of teaching spelling and reading. Will highly recommend all educators to do the THRASS course and implement it in their class. Laola was very charming and presented it very well.

Very well presented. Very interesting. THRASS has much potential if you use it properly.

Really enjoyable. I feel this method will help our mentally handicapped learners to learn to spell.

Very well presented! Informative! A good change, in terms of new methods in teaching language.

Lovely course. Great presenter. I came because my child is being taught THRASS at school and I wanted to know how to help her if need be. I now have a good understanding of the methodology.

I still can’t spell...but I’m sure the revolution in my aged brain has begun. Exciting concept – well presented. Concern about the progressive eye-tracking involved in the rap songs.

Very informative. Enjoyed every moment. Well organised. Laola was really vibrant!

I find this method an accelerated version of the Montessori method of teaching. Great alternative, but I think it will take a lot of practise for us teachers and getting used to. Would like to see the value over a period of time – excited to try and see results.

Excellent! Dynamic presenter! Enjoyed the workshop. Informative.

Very informative and helpful. Will definitely use knowledge, skills and resources in my practice.

Interesting and informative. Excellent presentation. Dynamic presenter! Definitely beneficial in improving literacy levels. Can’t wait to start implementing skills learnt!

Very interesting – so much to work through! Will use THRASS along with any other method as long as I can help the children!

Very well presented – animated, exciting, knowledgeable. Fun – makes you want to really go for this exciting resource. Seems a bit daunting, as it is so different from that which we know. I’m sure practise will make perfect (or as near as we can).

Very well conducted. Highly beneficial to improve literacy levels in our schools.

Very stimulating and enjoyed the presenter’s style – friendly but very professional. Knows her subject backwards. I like the detailed thought which has gone into the creation of THRASS, how everything dovetails together. I like the idea of not talking down to the pupils – i.e. using the correct vocab e.g. graphemes and phonemes. I think the detailed attention to sounds will benefit the learner in all language applications, including learning a second language. Addition of music – wonderful!

Amazing. It has really opened my eyes and I really can’t wait to introduce this method to my system of teaching. I’m very thankful for the chance to be able to pass this on to my students.

It was excellent. I enjoyed every minute of it. Well done, Laola.

Laola is a dynamic presenter. I feel excited about taking THRASS back to my school. Wonderful.

Wonderful. It was very informative and opened my mind and ears. It was exciting and enjoyable.

A brilliant course, programme and presenter.

Laola is a wonderful teacher!

A great, fun way to teach second language children to become literate. A fun and interesting presentation.

Very stimulating. So interesting to learn something new with so much enthusiasm and so knowledgeably. Made me think a lot about all sorts of aspects of reading, writing and spelling.

This is a really valuable course that could remedy, to a great extent, the literacy problems in the foundation phase of schools where English is L2 or a foreign language. I enjoyed the training and the approach from the trainer. I will promote THRASS where I can. Also, the methodology will be extremely valuable for Talk English where it should bridge the gap between spoken English (our focus) and the written form.

Outstanding. Dynamic presenter. Enjoyable. Informative.
