benefited so much from this well-planned and well-presented course. It gave me
an essential guide to the progression and assessment of learners’ performance.
Basically, pupils will learn to read and change spelling choices to speech
sounds and also spell and change speech sounds to spelling choices! Great!
This
course was highly informative. It really opened up new avenues. After training,
I feel more confident. Wish you could run refresher courses though.
Introduction and specific areas handled well; clear concise speaker. Enough time
given to each area – thorough presentation. Different media of instruction –
video, Smart Board, visual etc. helped to add some variety to a very intensive
two-day course. Evaluation – I learnt a great deal in a period of two days!
I
really enjoyed the practical aspects about the training along with the fact that
it went into basics before delving into adult reading. The presentation was also
very interesting. It would be nice to include a section on how practically
THRASS can be included for challenged populations.
I
enjoyed every minute of the discussion we had. What made it most interesting is
that all the sounds in the English language were linked to words.
It
was great. Very interesting and definitely, I am going to bring it in full force
at my nursery school. I would like to see the difference compared to the method
I am currently using.
