Very good course, interesting. The music songs are brilliant and very fun! 

Very informative. Knowledgeable presenters – organised and enthusiastic. Musical interludes were very enjoyable and helped to maintain interest. Comprehensive programme which seems to have everything covered. 

I wish this had been available for me to use with my dyslexic child when younger. Loved the songs! 

Really useful, will be great to use these skills with all abilities. 

Excellent – I’ve enjoyed the day and learnt a lot!  Can’t wait to start using it. 

Really informative. The program is one that would be fantastic for our pupils. I really enjoyed the singing and song parts – this is a fantastic part for our pupils. 

Very interesting as well as fun. The resources given to us have inspired activities that can be conducted in class and I’m sure the class will enjoy singing & dancing along to the CD.

Very beneficial to our pupils. 

Teaching reading and spelling is vital. The ability to read and write is essential for independence in later life. Those that can’t read and write are often deskilled or unenpowered. Our most challenging pupils also have huge literacy problems. This training has helped us to address all these issues.  

Really interesting. I believe it will be invaluable in teaching, reading, handwriting and spelling skills. This has given me a good base knowledge to confidently assist in the reinforcement of these skills. 

I liked the songs! The children would enjoy this style of learning our language. 

Very structured – hope resources are forthcoming to support it. Thoroughly enjoyed it. Will adapt according to pupils. 

More emphasis on stages 5-10. Resources targeted towards secondary students. Great resource. I wish I had had this earlier.

A great new way of teaching and learning! Fantastic, makes perfect sense! 

A good fun day although a little confusing, having learnt the other system. I’m sure it will help pupils who can see it through from beginning to end and we will use parts of it as useful tools. 

Very enthusiastically delivered. Perhaps a little too saturated, but very concise. Some humour in the course was welcome. Sounds fairly complicated but can imagine that if implemented throughout the school would be very successful with our students. 

Loved the musical input, a little worried regarding the amount of information for autistic pupils.

Fantastic, very interesting, good speaker and use of fun activities. A lot of interesting information that I can and will use with my SLD ASD students.

Enjoyable, lively course with enthusiastic tutors. Literature was well presented and lovely resources available. 

It seems like a good multi-sensory scheme. There was a huge amount of information provided today with a good supply of resources which we can take away and use – very interactive too! 

Lots of good materials. Shame the Sing-A-Long book is full of stereotypes. I think this has a lot to offer our pupils. Would like to see the yellow charts cut into strips for those who cannot cope with a lot of information on one page. For some pupils we could use Makaton symbols to replace the line drawings, as they understand those.  

Enthusiasm and rapidity were fun. Maybe needs more explanation of historical appearance of phonics. 

Very good & interesting, perhaps a sheet on the wall with the 10 stages might be an idea – it helped me focus when I had it in my book. Would be helpful if you could refer to a visual display. 

Singing sections enlivened and added a different dimension.

An informative and imaginative approach to reading, writing and spelling. The ICT will be especially useful to my class as it is mostly boys. 

I thought the course was very good, the way it was broken down into stages was very useful. The singing and ICT resources look like fun and will help SLD pupils especially. 

Singing was really memorable, helped lots with remembering certain sounds. Very interesting course, great resources available.

This scheme seems like a really good idea, for a wide range of all children’s individual ability. Really enjoyed the course, was really interesting and kept us engaged all the way through. 

Lots of information to digest will take time to come to fully understand this method of teaching. Good delivery of course in a short space of time.

This course was very good and provided new and exciting ways in which we can deliver vital literacy skills. The singing was fantastic and will be a great teaching tool in the classroom. You both showed great enthusiasm and knowledge of the resources and how to implement them.
