The materials are well-arranged, interest arousing and really beautiful. My favourite sing along were ‘Ring the Bell’ and ‘Tin Can Man’. I also like the fact that it is multi-cultural. Fantastic workshop that every teacher everywhere should have an opportunity to a part of at some point in time. It was fun and energetic, total enjoyment for both teacher and student. I will use it with my own child this evening – he has more energy and desire to learn than I can handle sometimes, so hopefully he will have an amazing amount of fun like I did, learn lots of new things, be tired and go to bed early! 

This workshop is what children want in order to enjoy reading. This kind of activity will not only be seen as enjoyment but educational. I am a Physical Education teacher now being exposed to the teaching of reading. My tutor is very good and now my introduction to THRASS makes me see another way of doing reading with a lot of enjoyment. I personally feel that children need to enjoy themselves while learning. The memories would be long lasting and retained. I am looking forward to using this with my own child. 

Very interesting. Children love music and the THRASS program can be used to teach words as well as the speech sounds. This program also utilises dance and therefore students would gravitate towards it since they can move around. Students of any age would find learning meaningful and interesting if they can participate in the teaching and learning process. 

Howard Gardner would be proud! This catered to multiple intelligences: musical, kinesthetic, linguistic. It was great! The children will love the music, movement and Sing-A-Long.

It was a fun-filled workshop! Lots of energy, enthusiasm and loads of fun. Numerous ideas to take to the school I will be assigned to. I am sure the children will love it. Eagerly awaiting other workshops.

Very informative and motivating. Reading is not one of my favourite subjects to teach, but I realize now through this session that I can enjoy it and I am now excited and motivated to teach it to my students. It also leaves me with a longing to learn more about the THRASS program and hopefully complete the training, so that I can adequately teach my students reading.

The materials are wonderful especially for the bodily kinesthetic. The workshop was immense fun. Janine was an excellent facilitator. Everything was relevant to my field and well packaged. It inspired me to use music and movement in my lessons as it modelled how these things can be incorporated.
