THRASS 15 MINS A DAY X 2 COURSE,
CARDIFF, APRIL 23, 2007

Portable Document Format

Fascinating, inspiring and motivating – as always.

Excellent! We all use THRASS in our school, but we all pick bits out – there has never been a real formalised scheme we work through. This has been an inspiration.

Excellent day. Many fantastic ideas. Easy to follow scheme of work.

Good to see the updated Phoneme Machine, including units to match 15 Minutes a Day. Looking forward to using that alongside scheme. Have a better understanding of second 15 Minutes a Day now – got some good ideas for support that TA could provide. Lots of new video clips to watch.

Informative day – good to see the new video clips, Phoneme Machine (updated). It was good to refresh my knowledge of assessment methods and look in depth at the 15 minutes THRASS.

A very useful course, great to see the new Phoneme Machine and how it can be used within the THRASS 15 minutes. Have a better understanding of the THRASS profile card. We shall be using it as a self-assessment. A great day. Thank you Alan. We look forward to seeing you soon.

Fantastic – very helpful in the implementation of the program. Lots to take away and use in my room. Just what I have wanted.

Excellent day! Thank you for all the updates and information on new resources.

Very interesting course. Inspiring. Can’t wait to get back to the classroom! Well structured.

Very well led. Needed more time to assimilate a lot of knowledge.

Inspiring as usual. Can’t wait to try in my class and see the results improve. Fantastic website and new resource for interactive whiteboard. Keep them coming!

Inspirational as always, especially the Phoneme Machine. Can’t wait to use it.

Very thorough details of 15 Minutes a Day. The Phoneme Machine will be very useful especially for my writing club where the parents are learning THRASS.

A good reminder, and helpful for the THRASS 15 Minutes a Day scheme of work (to continue school work – 15 minutes course). Valuable training of THRASS interactive resources available and video footage – lessons.

Very interesting and informative day.

Good to have an update and to extend my knowledge.

Inspirational – as usual.

An excellent day. Very enlightening. I can really put all I learnt into everyday use at school.

Found morning more beneficial. Would have preferred more time to be spent on teaching tips/ideas/games etc. Well delivered and presented.

Lots of good ideas to use in the classroom. Lovely resources. Very informative and thorough.

An excellent course – it was good to see all the new resources. We hope to have further training in Bridgend soon!

Excellent – as always. Lots to think about. Will begin implementing as soon as possible – and hope to begin as whole school in September.

For myself it was very worthwhile – resource use/assessments/new software and demonstrations. I can now go away to watch, having not been on a THRASS course before. Has given me more confidence to use it flexibly too!

The introduction was probably more suitable for teachers, but nevertheless, interesting. A great deal of information/suggestions/modelling was put into one day, and you needed to be on your toes! As always, a very inspiring lecturer! A very worthwhile day.

Very useful as have not received any THRASS training before. The demonstration clips were very enjoyable and makes all the written information very clear.

A worthwhile THRASS day, which has helped to reinforce and recap our knowledge previously gained and also take us a step further on in the teaching of THRASS.

Excellent! Great reminder of general ideas, but an insight into how to use the new scheme of work particularly in conjunction with the assessment sheet. I just love THRASS and couldn’t teach without it.

An excellent course – cleared up a lot of misconceptions. Lots and lots of brilliant ideas. Scheme of work seems excellent
