Excellent course. Good pace. Good fun.
Excellent course. Well delivered and very informative. Many thanks.
Both training days have been excellent, my brain is buzzing with lots of new
knowledge. Alan is a fabulous representative and teacher of THRASS.
First rate. Of great use to us and our feeder schools. Thank you for whole
school introduction.
I really hope that the feeder schools get cracking with this scheme. I think it
will really have an impact on learning. What a shame none of our English
Department attended the full course.
Day Two as interesting as Day one. An excellent way forward in education.
Really informative and helpful to “tie together” points learnt on Day 1 of the
course. We were kept “entertained” as usual by Alan with his boundless energy.
THRASS makes so much more sense now – looking forward to trying it with the Year
7 withdrawal groups. An excellent course. Thanks.
Excellent from start to finish, even if taught at breakneck speed! I have gained
a far better understanding but still lack a bit of confidence to teach it.
Very interesting course, very well presented and informative. Hopefully will be
able to use it within the school but I’m sure we will in the department.
Another very enjoyable day! Good to spend some time thinking about the spoken
language as well as written. Many thanks!
Excellent. The word ‘treasure’ will never be the same again. Thanks for
everything.
Enjoyed the course. I feel a lot more confident after doing the second day.
Excellent course. Thankyou.
Again, thankyou Alan for your energy and knowledge. Most fascinating – certainly
the way forward.
Extremely interesting. May be more acceptable to some teachers if their
established and accepted method of teaching were not rubbished. May be that
THRASS method would then be adopted more enthusiastically by then. My
daughter-in-law is fascinated with what she’s seen of this course.
Interesting, but I feel we should move around when doing the rap. Sitting down
all of the time becomes weary. Some good ideas. Thankyou.
Again, everything did make absolute sense. I felt challenged at times but
overcame that and think I had ‘got it’ by the end. I like the fact that regional
accent was clearly acknowledged and not brushed under the carpet (which would
then cause later problems). I’m looking forward to our school implementing it.
Very interesting. It made me feel as if I’ve learnt a new language. I would need
some personal preparation to learn the terminology and how to use the charts.
Thanks very much and all the best.
Did not attend first day of training, but found it relatively easy to catch up.
Very clear and concise delivery. Difficult to use in large classes especially
where there are behavioural problems but great for small groups. A must for
infant schools so the kids don’t arrive at senior school with other learning
systems already in place.
