A very enlightening and invaluable day.
Definitely something I wish to learn more about, both from a professional and a
parental perspective.
The course has been very detailed and informative. I now feel far more confident
to teach the children. It is really well resourced and very well planned.
Very enjoyable and informative. Excellent presentation of material. Refreshing
to listen and learn from enthusiastic presenter. Very keen to try materials.
Excellent presentation – informative. Has given me lots of ideas for the start
of my teaching career.
Excellent presentation that communicated subject knowledge I wish I had
possessed sixteen years ago.
I spent three years at college and nobody taught us how to teach children to
read! I now understand how to help them.
The course was interesting and informative. The charts are clear and a great
resource. It makes common sense to move away from initial sounds to 44 phonemes.
The course was very interesting and informative. How to use THRASS was explained
fully.
Really enjoyable. Very informative and I look forward to trying out some of the
activities with my class.
Really beneficial as I am training as a teacher and learning about phonics, so I
have learnt a lot more.
Good idea of e-mail course website. A bit fast, possibly. Lots of multi-sensory
teaching. Very informative and Alan obviously knows his stuff very well. Came
with some reservations but am converted. Could do with Day 2! Thanks for CD/DVD
and books.
This course has been very informative. The resources are excellent.
The course was very interesting. I learned a lot.
Very interesting and informative. Loved the ‘Rap’.
As always, a wonderful delivery of content. Since some training, years ago, I
have felt empowered to deliver phonic teaching to pupils. This refresher course
will benefit me greatly. Thanks.
Very informative and enthusiastic course.
Interesting, informative and pleasant. Thankyou.
I found this information very informative and valuable not just for teaching the
children I work with but for the help it is going to give me when working with
my own children.
Very informative programme. Hope to aid children’s reading and spelling through
making them more aware of their phoneme and grapheme choices.
Absolutely fabulous – very intense. I think I’ve got a bit of learning to do
myself and unlearning.
Thanks. A very informative and useful day. We will be in touch.
Brilliant. Hopefully attend Day 2 course soon. Have been using THRASS in KS2 for
a few months since attending course last summer and I’m amazed at the enthusiasm
of the children for analysing words and using the THRASS charts. I found, with
so much information it was useful to attend Day 1 again!
Excellent day, well presented – enjoyed your enthusiasm Alan and energetic
presentation. It has inspired me to explore THRASS even further. Good resources.
I found this day has really changed my outlook on how I work with my children at
home. So glad I was able to do this course. It has opened up another world for
me.
A very valuable day. This has really given me the confidence to use
phonics/phonic vocabulary in my teaching. Some good ideas for KS2 SEN children.
The sun is beginning to peep above the horizon – a great deal to take on board,
but with a fair wind and the stars to guide us, our journey will be enjoyable
and enlightening. Thanks, Captain THRASS.
