A good day, presented well, has led to much
discussion and enthusiasm from staff. I look forward to using this new scheme in
school and seeing the results raised in spelling standards in the future.
Very useful and very beneficial to school. The course was thorough and I
understand the basics!
Very informative. Presented in a pleasant and fun manner. Plenty of chances for
questions. A lot to take in all at once. Plenty of information to take home and
read at leisure.
Good ideas of how THRASS could usefully be started in Nursery as part of a whole
school approach.
Found the course and resources very useful. Will be introducing into Literacy
straight away.
Very interesting. Useful resources. Introduce to my special needs group now,
next year start properly.
Very useful. Lots of information been given to us. Learnt a lot.
Really enjoyed the whole course, made things much clearer. Thankyou.
Very useful explanation of phonics. Looking forward to it working at school.
A useful insight into synthetic and analytic phonics. I have learnt a lot today.
Useful resources!
The INSET was useful, but it was a lot to take in in one day! I’m looking
forward to trying some of the stuff with the children. I’ll also be taking a
look at the website for further ideas.
Very useful to find out different ways of teaching sounds to children. Good to
look at how letters can make different sounds. Picture charts are great
resources.
Very interesting, but a lot to take in on a one day session. I have learnt
things that I hadn’t thought about before, about splitting up the words into the
different sections.
Lots of information in short amount of time, need to see how works in practice
now.
Very comprehensive explanation of excellent resources. I particularly liked
tracing over letters. I would be very interested in C.D. to help build words
linking to correct sounds. SEN children will enjoy.
Very logical and thorough. Monitoring will need to be very regular and thorough
to ensure time is being allocated in all classrooms. Delivery was good. She has
a well-modulated voice to do training. Great!
Very informative and it helped me to see how I could improve my children’s
reading and spelling.
Why do the children have to know what digraphs, graphs, trigraphs are, as this
seems a difficult thing for them to have to know? We learnt to read and write
without knowing these!
Very interested. Certain aspects really good for SEN –with other materials.
Would children find placing the consonant blends and long consonant blends a
little complicated when placing on the chart? Liked multi-sensory and multi
aspect approach to teaching. Would be interested in seeing the C.D.
Interesting, a lot linked with A.L.S. Good resources.
I found this extremely useful. I work in YR1 and can see how it is going to work
for all of the children.
Lots covered in amount of time. Can’t wait to see videos.
I have found this interesting and look forward to using it with children. Having
used Jolly Phonics already I can see this being even more useful.
