GUIDED TRAINING FOR TEACHERS, ASSISTANTS AND PARENTS

THRASS TWO-DAY CERTIFICATE,
DAY 2, HAMPSHIRE, SEPT 29, 2008

Portable Document Format

A very informative day. I feel I now have the subject knowledge to deliver fun-packed and challenging THRASS lessons. An excellent program that will help the children greatly.

Fast pace, but interactive. Great modelling of how to crack THRASS.

Very informative. Lots of great ideas to take away to benefit all pupils and level of ability. Great to be reminded of all the necessary skills needed to deliver THRASS. I hope I can do it justice in my own teaching!

Alan, many thanks! I’ve got the NAK of THRASS!

Lots of great ideas to use with 1-2-1 supported children.

Very informative and useful day. Plenty of repetition of key skills – helpful for my own learning. Fast pace. Good confidence boost! Feel like I need to practise with me in the role of ‘teacher’ rather than learner – anxious about introducing and teaching it in top set yr. 6.

Have already used the Sing-A-Long resources and the children have really enjoyed the songs and dances. Looking forward to supplementing this with other activities.

Really good! Can’t wait to get going in the classroom!

Excellent course. Very comprehensive and informative. Sceptical and unsure at the beginning of course, convinced now. Course made it very clear how to progress with THRASS and how to best make use of the fantastic range of resources.

Very informative. I feel much more confident in teaching THRASS in a challenging way.

An inspiring presentation. Let’s hope much of the training is used in the future.

A very inspiring and worthwhile course. I left with lots of ideas for working with S.N. children.

Full on day with lots of teaching skills, that I am looking forward to trying both at school and home.

Very interactive, informative, multi-sensory, mind-stretching. Phonics – a key word chart is an extremely useful VAK approach.

Great! Thanks – lots of high level detail today – as always, challenging the level of my own competence. Am looking forward to putting it into operation.

A challenging and interesting day. A lot to take in and think about!

Fantastic. Lots to think about. Will talk to the Infants!

Very lively course. Well organised and enjoyable.

I completely take on the philosophy and feel enlightened. I do have fears about implementing THRASS, as there are so many constraints and I feel it will be particularly challenging in a junior school where the infants implement a different system. I found your input pacey and informative.

Another challenging day but a great opportunity to learn how to teach phonics in an enjoyable teacher/pupil friendly way.

Lots of clarification and consolidation from Day 1. Lots of ideas – although at times sometimes a little speedy and hard to keep up!

Fascinating day. Very well organised and paced. Lots to think about.

Fantastic, inspiring day – wish my children were being taught it in their school.
