An ingenious course, giving an overall view of reading, spelling and handwriting, making it practical for all ages in a meaningful way.

Brilliant, great ideas. They make sense!

Very informative – interesting – stimulating. Thanks for all the knowledge imparted. Looking forward to applying this!

Well presented – informative. Excited and can’t wait to get started.

The course presenter, Laola, was most entertaining and thorough in the presentation of the course. I have learnt a vast amount and look forward to implementing THRASS in my classroom.

Presentation was very interesting. Being Senior Primary trained, I have learnt a lot over the two days.

A well planned presentation. Everything was clearly explained and time was devoted to clarifying those areas which raised questions. The venue was excellent and course material was clearly displayed. Thanks to the host school and Laola. Raised plenty of excitement and interest!

Thank you for a most informative course. It was very interesting and certainly made me think!

Well presented. A worthwhile exercise.

I enjoyed the course very much.

Very well presented. I found it very interesting. Much information. Would love to implement this.

Great.

Thank you for an informative course.

Plenty of food for thought!

Well presented, informative, stimulating. Explanation of aids thorough. Whole concept does not override some work already taking place in class, but lots of new approaches. Apparatus looks great. Looking forward to giving it a go.

Interesting and learnt a lot. Nice to learn a new teaching method.

Presentation was very well presented. THRASS – great!

Very educational and interesting. Enjoyed it, Thank you. Lots to think about.

Very informative. I have learned a lot. Will apply knowledge in my class.

Very informative. Have to change my mindset. Plenty of reading to be done.

Informative and very interesting. Can’t wait to try it out.

Exciting! Thanks.

Learnt a lot. As an Afrikaans speaking person, it made a lot of sense to put it into boxes. The placement will take away confusion when writing words. Thank you.

The course was most enjoyable and very well presented. I am looking forward to implementing it, but do think that it won’t be as straight forward in the higher standards.

Excellent course! Well presented! Would like to implement THRASS in Grade 4-7 in our school.
Laola is extremely knowledgeable and enthusiastic about THRASS. The practical part of the course makes it a bit more real than just listening to another lecture. I feel that it is going to take a while to get it right, but hopefully, practise will make perfect. It is quite exciting.

Thoroughly enjoyed it. Can’t wait to put it into practice.

I found the presentation of a very high quality. Laola was available to answer questions and queries throughout course. The video clips were interesting and colourful.

An interesting course, giving you an overall way of teaching reading and spelling. Thank you, Laola, for making the course exciting and keeping us all focussed.

Interesting concepts – especially for children with special needs.

Thank you for an interesting, motivating (and sometimes confusing) course. Looking forward to implementing what I have learnt.

Very Good. Lots of information thrown at us. Compatible with OBE.

The course has got me thinking. I do a similar approach – i.e. making pupils aware of phonemes etc. – but the idea of teaching letter names is new and I am looking forward to trying it out.

Inspiring and challenging. Can see how it can benefit the learners once I am more knowledgeable. Enjoyed the presentation.

I really found the course to be beneficial and think that it was practical and all came together in the end. Laola was great! Thank you.

A very well presented course. I hope it will be like learning to ride a bike – once I get the balance, peddling and steering right, I will be on my way!

I have always felt that teaching literacy has been approached in a haphazard fashion. THRASS seems to go a long way in addressing many of the problem areas. Laola’s presentation was thorough, interesting and stimulating. THRASS itself, appeals to me with its logic and I hope to do Laola proud!
