I’ve found this course immensely exciting! I’ve been waiting for a break through like this to help children learn how to spell and read. In all my years of teaching (over 20), I’ve never been presented with a course like this. This is the first course that encompasses everything in one – visual, auditory and kinaesthetic. I think it is absolutely fantastic and can’t wait to start implementing the methodology. The course was easy to follow and presented very well.

At last we will be able to read and spell! A very good course, wonderfully presented by a very energetic Laola Altschul. I have learned a lot and will hopefully be able to carry the knowledge obtained across to my learners.

Well thought out course, which will help all teachers from Grade 0 to Grade 12 to teach and evaluate children at all ages. Once the teacher has a good understanding of THRASS (which might take a while to understand) she could impart this knowledge. Hopefully children will read and use THRASS as a guideline. Hope THRASS will go ahead in Southern Africa and grow from strength to strength.

This is an extremely fascinating course that will reinforce OBE teaching in schools, especially with regard to Reading and Spelling improvement. Laola is doing a great job. I personally feel she has to expand it throughout the world.

I am glad I came. It opened my eyes and ears and I know that there is a lot more for me to learn - especially for second language learners. I enjoyed every minute. I wish I had the finances to buy everything and that my headmaster and HOD were here to hear, see and do all the things we did!

Well presented and interesting. THRASS certainly opens many new doors and eliminates confusion when teaching spelling. Although we are only in the beginning stages in planning for next year, I am looking forward to trying THRASS as a new approach in teaching reading and phonics, as I have had the opportunity to see the advantages of this approach. Initially it appeared to be quite confusing, but with some practical practise during the course, it all became much clearer.

I found the course very valuable in helping me think about how I can improve what I do in class. Everything made a lot of sense. I am going to make lots of new materials for my classroom and correct the mistakes I have unwittingly been making in introducing spelling.

This approach to teaching spelling will help solve many problems I see every day especially in remedial classes. I really feel that I understand this approach better than the old system. Now I just have to show the other teachers at school.
