THRASS – the
handwriting, reading and spelling system developed by researcher
Alan Davies seems set to be adopted by schools nationwide. The
system demonstrated on BBC Television on Tuesday evening is already
proving successful in the teaching of written communication skills
in areas of education, which were formerly considered non-starters.
Currently, Alan’s teaching techniques are being used to great effect
at Ashton Hayes Primary School and also at the Spastics Society,
Skills Development Centre at Blacon.
