1. Speaking and Listening [1 min]
Speaking and listening skills
are taught using pictures and keywords. These skills are taught from the outset
and are the foundation of the whole programme.
2: Phonemes and Keygraphemes

The
units are the forty-four speech sounds and one-hundred-and-twenty keygraphemes
of English.
3: Letter Names

Both
lower-case and capital letters are always identified by name - as is expected of
good readers and spellers.
4: Natural Links

Learners are able to make
natural links between the forty-four speech-sounds and their spelling-choices.
5: No
Changeover Teaching [1 min]
There is no need for any
changeover teaching, from artificial letter-sounds to natural phonemes and
graphemes.
6: Continual Reference

There is continual reference to
whole-picture class charts.
7: Observable Standards

All of the outcomes are assessed
by tests with observable standards of achievement.
