To develop hand-eye coordination and fine motor control, and to encourage artistic creativity, encourage your children to colour-in the outline pictures, with or without referring to the associated book. Encourage your children to name the colours, “stay within the lines” and discuss the thinking behind the selection of particular colours (and/or shades) - along with forecasting what people might think, or say, if the colours were otherwise!
